Our Story

Butch Holcombe fell in love with history when he saw his first Civil War reenactment in 1964. In the years following, he became even more immersed  in the world of finding and collecting artifacts. In 2001 he and Anita Holcombe began Greybird Relics, named after a parrot the couple owned. Both Butch and Anita love the history and collector community that they encounter every day. They also own and operate Greybird Publishers, which is responsible for several reference books and American Digger magazine
